Blane Morris is Named the January 2012 Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month

Blane Morris has been chosen as the Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month for January 2012.

Blane has been employed as a custodial assistant at Beacon School for just over a year.   During the past year Blane has shown great growth and ability in his job.  During Blane’s most recent employee evaluation recognized Blane for doing a very good job. Previously Blane worked in a dining hall at a local college in Texas.

Blane has many interests and hobbies.  He is a recognized Passion Works artist, a member of the Atco Choir and is a real music enthusiast.  Blane can play the drums and is also interested in model trains.  In his free time, Blane volunteers at the First United Methodist Church’s Monday Lunch.

William Peacock named December 2011 Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month

William Peacock has been selected as Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month for December 2011.

William was selected because of his excellent attitude and skill on his job at Diagnostic Hybrids Incorporated in Athens.  William has been employed by Diagnostic Hybrids Inc. for nearly 8 years and is known for his high level of professionalism on the job and his influence on many of his team members to also perform in a professional manner.  William is a member of DHI’s Accessory Assembler team that prepares materials every day that are used throughout the world for accurate human diagnostic testing.

William is also very interested in helping others to stand up for themselves and to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. He does this through his involvement with the Athens local People First of Ohio, where he is currently their Head Facilitator.  William was also instrumental in getting the Ohio Bill passed removing ‘Mental Retardation’ from all Ohio County Boards of Developmental Disabilities titles.

William has recently been featured in a local commercial produced by Sway the Crowd Productions that demonstrates the positive value to people like William of working with PersonnelPlus.

Corey Kerr is the October 2011 Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month

Corey Kerr has been selected as the
PersonnelPlus Employee of the month for October 2011.

Corey has been employed at Ohio
University’s Boyd Dining Hall. Corey has worked for the Dining Hall for almost 13 years and works hard in the dish room and very rarely misses any work.  Corey is an exemplary employee.

Most recently, Corey has shown excellent growth and improvement by accepting another job at Appalachian Behavioral Hospital.  Corey has shown his supervisor continued improvements in work skill and work initiative. In the past Corey was a quiet person, but now he has grown to be more outgoing, showing respect and politeness to office staff while asking to clean in their areas.  He also shows a serious concern for doing good quality work as well as initiating further tasks without needing any reminders.

In his spare time Corey enjoys going out to eat, taking in a movie, and following his favorite sports teams.

Carly Holland is the November 2011 Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month

Carly Holland is the Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month for November.

Carly has been employed at Secure Title Services for over 5 years.  She is responsible for shredding doccuments and filing.  She is a dedicated emloyee who rarely ever misses work.  Carly is a great example of a PersonnelPlus’s
business partnership where job carving has been highly successful.  Laurie Deal and her staff have fully integrated Carly as a member of their staff.

Carly is a very busy individual outside of work also. She likes to bowl and attends most Community Inclusion events, especially dances.  Carly recently joined the Atco Choir and her bright smile is a delight to behold as she sings.

Jason Douglas – September 2011 Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month

PersonnelPlus is pleased to recognize Jason Douglas as the Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month for September, 2011.

Jason has been working as a pizza box folder and sauce cup filler for three years at  Avalanche Pizza.  Jason has been reported to be the faster pizza box folder at Avalanche.  In his last employee evaluation, Jason was reported to be a good worker who has perfect attendance, gets along well with his co-workers and gladly accepts new assignments.

Jason is also a committed Passion Works artist and has been recognized as the artist of the month on a couple of occasions.  His artwork has been displayed on cutting boards, mouse pads and painted tiles.

Sarah Jordan – July 2011 Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month

Sarah Jordan was selected as the July 2011 Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month.

Sarah works at Ohio University’s Child Development Center at The Ridges and has been there since 1996.  Sarah helps with many necessary setup requirements
for the kids in Pre-School such as getting their lunch tables ready, getting their napping cots ready, cleaning up areas when they leave and doing laundry for all the classes. Sarah is described as being a favorite of the kids and their families.

Sarah spends most of her leisure time involved in activities with her extended family which includes attending all of the Alexander Sports activities and cheering the Spartans on.  Sarah also loves to go on Caribbean Cruises with her family, going shopping, and going swimming at Beacon School.

Jason Licht – May 2011 Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month

Jason Licht was named the Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month for May, 2011.

Jason set up his own business as an instructor in basic computer usage, including safe use of the Internet.  Jason assists individuals with setting up their own email accounts and Facebook pages and stresses safety first when it comes to Internet usage.  Jason’s uses a  software program called Zoom Text to assists
his students that do not have reading skills.

Jason is an avid ham radio operator.  He has an extra class radio operator license that gives privileges to any frequencies. He is also a volunteer examiner for other ham radio operators.

Jason is also an artist in the Passion Works Art Studio, a former member of the PersonnelPlus Advocacy and  Advisory Council and is a strong self-advocate.

Holly Kasler is the Susan Barga – PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month for February

Holly Kasler has been chosen as the Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus Employee of the Month for February 2011. Holly has been employed at the Ohio University Center for Public Media (WOUB) since 2002. In the years that Holly has been employed she has become an important asset as a clerical assistant to the WOUB staff. At WOUB, Holly has fit into the work environment seamlessly.

Holly has grown as a person as well. Holly’s drive to be successful extends beyond the world of work as she has very studiously continued to improve her academic skills at The Work Station, advancing her reading and language skills. Holly has also become more independent in the community moving into her own home 3 years ago.

Kelly Huddy is the Susan Barga/ PersonnelPlus April Employee of the Month

Kelly Huddy has been selected as the Susan Barga/PersonnelPlus April 2011 Employee of the Month. Kelly works at Ohio University’s Shively Dining Hall and has been there since 2002. Kelly helps with food prep and does such a good job that she is often asked to show new student workers how to do the tasks. Kelly really enjoys her job, she rarely misses work and if she does she is very good about calling her employer, her transportation and PersonnelPlus.

In her spare time, Kelly collects dolls and animal drawings and enjoys doing crafts. She also cares for several house and yard pets. Congratulations Kelly on a well-deserved award! Keep up the good work!
